</div>Brief facts:<o:p></o:p>On the 22nd July, 2016, Joyce Smich Bonny, Vivian Tetteh &amp;
Afia Tawiah hereinafter referred to as the Complainants filed a complaint at
the National Labour Commission against Jetcon Mart Ghana Ltd. hereinafter
referred to as the Respondent for severance pay.<o:p></o:p>The Commission in letters dated 1st August, 2016 and 27th
September, 2016 forwarded the complaint and a final reminder notice
respectively to the Respondent for its response in accordance with L.I. 1822.
The Respondent however failed to respond to the letters served on the Managing
Director by EMS TIN No. C0003970485 with registration no. 0210441 on 17th
October, 2016.<o:p></o:p>In accordance with Regulation 7 (2) of Labour Commission
Regulation (L.I. 1822) which states inter alia "where a party to a
disputes fails to respond to the request of the Commission within the
stipulated period of fourteen working days, the Commission shall send a final
notice to the party concerned to respond within a further seven working days
