THE REPUBLIC vs. THE HIGH COURT, (GENERAL JURISDICTION 10)

Applicants Kwabena Adu Boahene and Angela Adjei Boateng, among others, were arrested by EOCO and arraigned before the High Court, General Jurisdiction 10, Accra, on criminal charges. The Applicants alleged procedural irregularities including denial of proper disclosure of evidence, premature arraignment without proper notice to counsel, and bias by the trial judge in handling the case, particularly regarding the relevance and disclosure of exculpatory evidence such as bank statements. They filed an application for prohibition to restrain the High Court judge from proceeding with the trial on grounds of bias and unfair trial procedures.
